Tesla has decided to increase the size of the cables of its Superchargers. She made the announcement during Inversor’s Day on Wednesday. As Phonandroid explains, this choice was necessary since the American firm opened its network of Superchargers to other electric cars in 2022.
Owners of some of these models wishing to benefit from charging are indeed faced with a problem: the cable is too short.
Many hampered vehicles
When Tesla owners want to charge their vehicle, they park in reverse, so they can easily connect the cable to the charger socket. On models of the Elon Musk brand, this socket is located at the left rear of the vehicle. But this is not the case with all competing models, such as the Rivan R1T which has its connection socket at the front.
