Top of the pile came Baía do Sancho in Brazil. Sitting on Fernando de Noronha, an island about 220 miles off the coast of the mainland, Baia do Sancho is remote and only really accessible by boat or a metal ladder. It is, as you can see in the above pic, spectacular – and, in our opinion, very much a worthy winner.
Second on TripAdvisor’s ranking was Eagle Beach on the Caribbean island of Aruba, a wide beach with soft white sand that is also one of the island’s party hotspots. Third was Cable Beach in Broome, western Australia, which is known for being so vast that, even in peak season, it hardly ever feels crowded.
