Lufthansa was called to order on Wednesday by the British Advertising Authority (ASA). The German airline has been singled out for an ad in which it claims to « protect the future » of the planet, thus giving a « misleading impression of [its] environmental impact ».

For the ASA, the advertisement could be understood by consumers to mean that Lufthansa has already taken measures to reduce its environmental impact. The advertisement in question shows an airplane in flight seen from the front, the lower half of which is restored by an image of the Earth. It reads: “Connecting the world. Protect its future. »
